Nohava Ranch is a 28+ year family owned and operated cattle ranch based in Northwest Iowa. Our emphasis is on raising the healthiest, most nutrient dense beef that our customers have the confidence in knowing where it comes from & how it's raised. Every year we breed for genetic traits, including exceptional tenderness, marbling, and flavor - as well as ease of calving and good nature!   

We believe that the best health for cattle comes from tender love and care and greener pastures. Our cattle are vaccine-free, steroid-free, and hormone-free... Beef raised the way nature intended! Our cattle are pasture-raised beef that boast high-quality nutrition and flavor. All of our animals are free of growth hormones and steroids.

Our Scottish Highland x Longhorn beef cattle cross results in a lean, high-protein beef. Our cattle roam freely on pasture, which gives them a diet rich in nutrient-dense grasses - this allows our beef to yield meat abundant in essential vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats. Just before heading to the butcher we offer them a free-choice, homegrown blend of corn and oats from neighboring Iowa farms, while still on pasture.

Dry-aged beef develops a richer, more complex flavor compared to store-bought beef due to the concentration of taste from moisture loss. Our beef is always dry aged for a minimum of 14 days. This means our beef is stored in a temperature controlled environment with specific temperature and humidity levels for 14 days. This increases the tenderness and flavor!
