Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT KIND OF CATTLE DO YOU RAISE?
We raise an array of Scottish Highland and Longhorn, pasture-raised right here at the ranch! From birth, they live happy little lives grazing out in the open sunshine. Every year we breed for genetic traits, including exceptional tenderness, marbling, and flavor - as well as ease of calving and good nature!
HOW WILL IT TASTE?
Like the best you've ever had! We have over 30 years experience raising nothing but beef – it’s what we do!
HOW DOES SHIPPING WORK?
We ship orders nationwide via UPS every Monday (Tuesday if Monday is a holiday). We use compostable, eco-friendly liners and dry ice to ensure that your beef arrives fast and frozen. Orders will arrive in 1-3 days depending on your location. If the order is a gift, please leave a personal note in the 'Notes' section at checkout - we are more than happy to include it for you!
WHEN WILL I GET MY BEEF?
Orders will arrive in 1-3 days depending on your location. You will always have shipment tracking via Shop App and email updates!
DO YOU FEED HORMONES AND ANTIBIOTICS?
All of our animals are free of growth hormones and steroids. We do not routinely feed or administer antibiotics to our animals.
WHAT ABOUT MRNA VACCINES?
We do not administer any mRNA vaccines for our livestock. We are fortunate to have a very healthy herd with no plans to ever utilize mRNA vaccines in the future.
DO YOU GRASS OR GRAIN-FINISH?
The answer to this is truly what sets us apart from other ranches! Our cattle spend their whole lives on grazing pasture. Just before heading to the butcher we offer them a free-choice, homegrown blend of corn and oats from neighboring Iowa farms, while still on pasture. We guarantee this will be some of the healthiest and tastiest beef you’ve ever had!
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS GLUTEN FREE?
Yes - beef is a naturally gluten-free product. However, our Signature Beef Sticks and Prime Rib Beef Jerky do include spices that may contain gluten.
HOW MUCH FREEZER SPACE DO I NEED?
For reference, our 1/4 cow bundle typically requires 4-5 cubic feet of space. A 1/2 cow bundle requires approximately 8-10 cubic feet, and a whole animal requires 16-18 cubic feet of space.
